Where are you guys buying your metal supplies in MD? I was hoping to find a place local to me (pasadena Md) that is open on the weekends, but I haven't had much luck so far.

Have you tried your local plumbing and heating supply store ?
I don't mean Lowes either , but a real supply store . There should be some in the Glen Burnie area .

I used to work at an HVAC shop, and they only had thin galvanized sheetmetal.

Maybe a genuine HVAC supplier would carry thicker non-coated stuff, but it would be a strech.

Check your local yellow pages for metal suppliers. You'd be surprised, there's actually quite a few of them out there.

Thanks guys. I actually work in and around the DC VA area, so I may just pay Dixie sheetmetal a visit sometime this week.
