I need four trim clips for the small molding on my 64 Catalina 4dr. The clip has to be a push in because I can't get behind it from the inside. Measures 1.5 inches wide and .4 inch tall at the center. Does anyone know who makes these or is there something close that I can modify?

  3. My 56 Chevy had similar trim clips. Try a tri-five Chevy supplier. Looks like the 210 trim around the window clips.

  4. Restoration Specialties may have them. McMaster-Carr also may have them.

    X3 on Au-Ve-Co

Find the oldest body shop supply business in your area. They may have stuff in the back that's been there forever. Restoration shops too.
As mentioned before you may have to think outside the box and modify something to fit or combine two clips. You could put a barrel clip in the hole and then put a different clip in the mld. or even make one out of sheetmetal and a serrated nail. Or put a plastic trim clip thru a hand formed piece and insert in mld.
You could just put a flat piece in the mld and use two sided tape
You say you have no access to backside, but is it in a area where you could drill access holes with a hole saw to gain access?

Junkyard Junky - They look very close to the beltline trim clips on the tri 5 210 series. Last week I installed this trim on my car. Got a few extra ones around. PM me if you need 'em

Its a GM product, so I would try Ecklers, Late Great Chevy. 58-64 Impalas. I think they even carry later model impalas Also in a different catalog

If you only need 3,you could remove 1 from each other peice of trim and make it work that way,i have done this in a pinch, the other peices wont miss 1 clip each?.Do you have a pick and pull in your area, they should have something on another type of car that might work?. Harvey
