I know Willy's and Hemi's, I don't know Flatheads. My young neighbor bought his first hot rod and he's asking me for help. We need to install the dual carb set up but it looks like the generator will rest right where the coolant hose is. Can I get any advice on this job before I start. I'm not sure what to do about the roof belt line.

Wow, looks like you have a hemi problem there. Im sure many would be happy to help:rolleyes:

With regards to your question, if you zoom in on the photo you can see I used a certain Gates hose to solve the problem. I can look up and share the part number later today.

    Hope this helps.

I’d like to know the part number because I’m running 2 dueces and ac. I was just going to fab a set of hoses up using stainless tubing but I’d rather have all rubber hoses

I used an exhaust pipe bender and formed a shape that allowed two small radiator hoses to connect it IMG_1778.jpeg

  5. The generator may just clear the front carb, but if needed you can flip the water outlet so it points out towards the side and change the hose so it will clear the offset bracket. I would see if the generator can still be installed at the 12 o’clock position so you maintain good belt contact with the water pump pulley, with the offset mount the belt can slip a little bit at higher rpm. See if the generator clears the front carb by mocking it all up on the bench before tearing everything apart.

Quick update: The hose I used on the right (generator side) was Gates 21205. The driver side hose is 20137.
