Hi all, Pretty new to this forum, but have been lurking for awhile. I found an old flathead boat motor on our farm the other day and have decided i might want to give building a Hambster a go..... I consider myself a pretty good welder but have had no experience in building ch***is'. But have pretty good mechanical knowledge, as in I can pull and put stuff together without having 12 bolts left over..... What I was wondering is if anyone knows of some good books, or other reference places. for ch***is building or even for the whole process. Im located in Melbourne, Australia cheers Martin.T
There are several rails built by a great bunch of guys, in your part of the world. I think your season is just getting started.
Check around and see if you can locate some of your Aussie Mates.. They build some nice cars...And I'm sure they would give you a helping hand with yours....Good luck on your build......
G'day Martin, Send me a PM and I'll try to point you in the right direction, there's plenty of useful information already mentioned here within this section of the forum, so have a browse and we'll get you started. Any details on the flatty just out of curiousity? Cheers, Drewfus
