Event Coverage Wheres the 2024 GNRS & AMBR coverage?

Most years there are multiple threads about the big show and the contenders for the ambr. This year I haven't seen a single thing. How am I supposed live vicariously through you people while I'm stuck up on the tundra.

I kid a bit but still I haven't seen anything any where.

 

Show isn't until next weekend. Feb 2-4

Start checking Wed. afternoon. That's check in day and someone will be posting the contenders. I know of one contender for the Slonaker award. The Pete & Jake's 34 pickup. I don't know the owner or builder but in their last print catalog there was a color rendering of the truck. It's not what some of you are picturing, it has a car style nose and car style fenders. Years in the making.

 

Squeegges is showing up for AMBR as well. It's a beautiful car.

 

Looks like the weather is going to be very disappointing for Southern California this weekend.
Potential “Pineapple Express” with heavy rain…bummer for sure.

 

Don’t you know you’re not supposed to say “Pineapple Express” anymore? The now correct term is “Atmospheric River” as it’s more ominous! LOL

 

Story, I’m not anywhere close to being what I like to call, politically incorrect.

 

I heard LA is expected to get 12" of rain this weekend. That is PNW precipitation! It will rain here as well but it always rains here.

 

Currently supposedly Thursday, clear up Friday and Sat, then back to rain on Sunday.

Pomona, some rain Friday, non Sat. Then back later.

 

It's an indoor show ...

Their charging $30.00 this year to get in, wasn't it 20.00 last year? That plus parking is not a cheap show and will be the first one i missed since it came to Pomona.
