Would love to have a 55 or 56,was offered a 54 limo for free but the dipstick who owned it took it all apart and I had no place to store inside and if I had taken it the city would have been on my ass right away.
I think googling around I found another photo of the same car. It looks like an older photo since there isn't as much rust on the front end.
This just keeps getting better. Car appears surprisingly well done, and would have been a good ride for Elvira! Thanks for posting!
^ Those earlier pics are how I remember seeing it circa 1990. Also looks like Rt 287 in the background; Kanter's store is right on the highway. Obviously it's been outside ever since- a shame. Wonder what it's story is...
Don't recall where I got this illustration, would love to own a real version. You could badge it the 'bean.
Looks like the "Car-I-Catures" that Patrick Van der Stricht often drew and could be found throughout the Kanter Auto Parts Catalogs.
I didn't want to be the one to say this, but the Emperor's got no clothes! I) Not a scale model II) Not a Packard.
I wonder what the deal is with the exhaust pipe(?) in the hood side and the pipes out the back. Exhaust cutout somewhere I assume. Seems strange on an otherwise smooth build.
Hmmmm .... interesting car. Reminds me a bit too much of the front ends on my 58 Edsel big bodies. Guess someone besides me think they're cool.
1937 Packard four-door, chopped 2 1/2", sectioned 4". http://classicvehicleslist.com/packard/34555-1937-custom-packard.html I'd love to see this one finished, with a Packard V8!
Don't remember where I found this... hope it's not a problem to show this image... it's just damn cool!
