https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/sold-rare-1932-chrysler-center-gauge-panel.1140167/ Real close but the outer dash panel edge is different...perhaps a model difference... I wonder if this one was modified...
they real close but you may be right. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/sold-rare-1932-chrysler-center-gauge-panel.1140167/
i have one on hand. Not engine turned and it seems every instrument has its own gl***. And not a one piece gl*** over the whole Unit.
Thats what I meant by modified...it was probably in a Hotrod...cut grind install sorta... The gl*** insert may be missing or broken in the one you posted...
I think that panel you shared is pretty darn rare unless the oval was visible with the rest behind...all the 32 Chryslers I've looked at in search were oval when in the dash...but rare models might have been different...could it be a marine unit?
Maybe the outer Edge is the frame for the gl*** and that outer panel is mounted from behind so only the oval is visible? Is that right? Maybe the frame is not ment to be seen at all.
Like my old Studebaker, frame hidden behind the dash with just the oval visible. I really like the factory pin striping. I do think that's a awesome gauge setup !
