Which model 33 Dodge coupe?

I have a 33 dodge 5 window coupe and I'm wondering what model it is. It could be a PC, PD, PF, or PE. The rear window is rectangle and rolls down, and it has suicide doors.
Any help will be appreciated.

 

I know on the 34 sedans there are a couple options, PE (which my Dad has) and one or two short weelbase models. The difference is in the wheelbase (PE is longer) and the front sheetmetal. Looking at carnut.com it appears that 33 is similar with PC having a 108" wheelbase and PD having a 112" wheelbase. Hope that helps.

I don't know if this will help. I don't have the front sheet metal. The wheel base is 115".

The model numbers you listed were for Plymouths not Dodges.According to my Dodge book you car is a DP model.Dodge had two DP models in 1933.The first model had a 111 1/4 wheelbase and the later DP models had a 115 wheelbase.This was changed in April 5 1933.Your car was orginally a six powered car.I am not sure if you have the rumble lid but your car is a rumbleseat car.That is one reason the rear window rolls down.The pan below the lid is also different[longer]than a buisness coupe.If you have the original dash your gauge cluster opening should be rectangle shaped and in the middle of the dash.If it is to the left in front of the driver your car is a 1934.If the gauge opening is oval shaped your car would be a Plymouth. Hope this helps.

I had already figured out that the p was for Plymouth. I have the rumble lid, I'm sanding it down for primer. The gauge cluster is rectangle in the center of the dash. My husband and I built this car 25 years ago, now I'm redoing it. I'll be posting more pictures on my profile page. Now where can I get a dodge book like yours?

I have had this book for a while.It is called THE DODGE STORY by Thomas A. McPherson copyright 1975.I believe it is out of print but i have seen them on Ebay.I have been into the Mopar Rods since the very early seventies.I just donated a bunch of old Mopar manuals to the Chrysler musuem several years ago.I still have my favorites.Your car looks great keep up the good work.I hope more woman get involed in this hobby.

 

sounds like a cool book. looked it up at amazon. it was reprinted in the 90s. about $25.00 used.

 

I've done all the rebuild work so far. My husband will put the 327 back in, another male friend will help with the front end and another to help with the paint if I need it. I'm going to try to paint it myself. It's not going to be a trophy car but I do drive them hard. You see in the picture we have a Dodge pickup cab we would like to build up too.
Iwish I was 30 years younger, I would go to school for body work. The guys are a great help. There seem to be a lot of women into bodywork but not in my area.
I will go to ebay now and look for that book.

I totally missed that the original poster had a Dodge and responded about Plymouth stuff. Glad someone was paying attention.

 

Hardly anybody i know can do all the work themselves.I am lucky a good friend of mine is a body man and is doing most of the bodywork on it.I am helping him when i can.I can do mechanic stuff but that body work stuff i cant do.Sounds like you got some good help.

Hi Perley,
I'm just adding pictures to my profile page as I go along. I put primer on the rumble lid today, then the sander blew up.

 

I got the front end out and I'm grinding off some welds. But first I need to bolt in a temporary cross member to keep it true.

 

I should change this thread to '33 DODGE COUPE REBUILD"
The cross member is off. Today I took out the steering box and the steering column. It looks like I'll be taking the body off the frame.
