I like the second one the best. The smaller lettering doesn't seem to over shadow the truck the way that the first one does. And, I've always been more into the black and white/silver look than the colorful look. Big logo on the back and no pocket. Small logo on the front where the pocket usually is. Just my opinion. Good luck however you decide to go.

No. 1 makes your eyes vibrate.
    Go with #2.

  6. Well...... I was a lithographer and graphic designer for 40 years. I guess that makes me a pro, but it doesn't make my opinion any more valid than anyone else's. It just means that I know how to throw the fancy jargon around so I'll just keep anything that smacks of ego out of my comments.
Both candidates have solid designs that are pleasing and work well. The color one was pretty jarring at first but the more that I look at it, the more it appeals to me. The lettering reminds me a lot of something from a 1950s comic book......... and that's a good thing. It works for me. The Andy Warhol vibe had its start in the HAMB-friendly years and is still going strong.
The second one doesn't grab me by the lapels like the first one but it's a good, solid design that I also like. (That truck graphic is also Andy Warhol inspired by the way.) It's not gaining any traction with me like the first one is doing but it is hanging tight and not losing an inch of ground, either.
This is a coin toss. If the production costs of the tri-color version are not excessively more, that might be your winner. But if it's a big jump higher in cost, then maybe the single color starts to overtake for the win.

You're the first one to really get that!

A vintage comic book was exactly the feel I was going for on the color version!

    Thanks for the great advice!
