Technical Which oil filler tube do I need for my 327 SBC that is in the 55?

    digging this back up...if you were to run the pcv from the road draft hole, while using the oil fill tube breather, would the tube from the pcv run to the air cleaner base or the carb? Does it matter?

    I'm getting enough blow-by to be annoying, will be getting rebuilt after this fall.

  4. It would run to the carb base. There is quite a bit of misinformation in this thread. The OP had it right all along - front oil fill tube with vented breather and PCV comes off of the Draft Tube hole and goes to the carb base.

    Make sure that you double check that you have a PCV valve that flows the right direction. One that is meant to screw into the carb base and one that is meant to screw into the (66-67 type) non-vented oil fill tube flow opposite directions.
