Hey HAMB'ers. Guys I need some help. I recently dropped my 53 some more in the front and need to replace the front with lowered shocks but, I am not sure where to get them? I have looked online but, everything seems to be geared towards trucks and I have an '80 camaro subframe...so I was trying to find shocks for that front clip? Is that the wrong thing to be looking for? I dropped it 3 more inches, need 3" shorter shock than stock BUT FROM "WHO"?? Thanks.

go to a parts store with books, get out the monroe catalog, look under the specs portion until you find what you need.

This is the best way to do it. When you are looking at the specs it will also give you travel specs, pay attention so you get the right rebound so you aren't bottoming out all the time.

Do a search. Someone posted on shock specifications and interchange a month or so ago. I didn't keep the link as I printed the listings.

Monroe has an online shock catalog
You look up the mounting styles (top and bottom) of your stock shock in one part. Then in another part, you can look up extended and compressed lengths of all the shocks they have, which also include the mouning styles. These are named by their part numbers, not application.
