Hey does anyone know if cragar ss wheels were ever made in Brazil? I found some local ones but they’re made in Brazil but they have cragar caps

He’s asking 350 for 4. Probably not real cragars huh?

  4. Do the wheels say “Borlem” on em?

more than likely a crager knockoff.

    id run em

What size are they? Direct fit or uni lug? Pics!
    Possibly worth a quadrillion dollars.

    Hello,

As teenagers my friends and I were knowledgeable in all things Chevy. The majority of the teenage cars were Chevy and even a truck or two was a Chevy truck. So, yes, we liked Chevy cars and motors. They were easy to work on, repairs and modifications were relatively simple and easy for us to try and modify our teenage cars.

Since most were Chevy sedans, parts and experience working with one helped diagnose the others if and when needed. The hubcaps and custom wheels were also a part of the exchange program. If one wanted to see the small hubcap look on a 56 Chevy two door post sedan, one did not have to go to the junkyard or custom chrome shop for the item. Someone in our group would have one on their cars or in their garage.
upload_2025-6-11_4-43-32.png My close friend’s dad was in the market for a 63 Impala. Of course we tried to steer him to a 409 version. And to make it really hot… a set of American Racing Equipment’s 5 Spoke Wheels. We had seen them on drag racing cars, but they were for racing only at one time. But, as things go, what we saw in his driveway was a stock looking hardtop sedan. It still had A/C and that was cool… pun intended. The nickname “mags” were usually for those 5 spoke wheels that almost most teens could not afford. YRMV
upload_2025-6-11_4-44-59.png They are well made. After a good tire truing and then balance/alignment, no problems for 1000s of fun cruising miles.

My friend bought a beater Chevelle for 800 bucks bout 15 years ago , before prices of stuff got ruined by Barret Jackson and it had these on it in a 15 x 8. He's got them on his '56 Belair . I've never seen another set ! And they say SX on the cap, very cool Screenshot_20250613-195757~2.png :)

Given the choice, I would always go 15's. I like the visual balance of wheel to tire better on 15's.

  14. 13-14 for lowriders. Tires for those are EZ.
15s can do both lowrider and hot rod.
    More tire selections

In 1968 my brother's white 63' Impala 327 4-speed had 15" chrome reverse rims, baby moons and Goodyear blue streak tires. Damn that looked perfect.

And an orange 76 ball on the antenna!

  17. 15's for sure, just a ton more tire options vs. the 14's
