Been a while since I posted but we have been "ass and elbos" here. building a bike for CCI , started with a kit bike softail, will be a nice scooter, trying not to make too many parts and just move shit around and stay within the lines of harley "People" that dress the same and want there bikes the same as the guy next to him, hard for me but I am pleased with what IV done so far with it.

Chopped a cherry ass 51 ford, cut roof right down the middle ,widened it , did all the metal work ,posts , new sail panels and new piece behind window to trunk, did it for a friend Chris P almost a brither to the Kennedy Bros from Pomona, the boys will finish it up.

Top secret work on 36 is being done ,and Nomad is at upulstery shop and I designed a bitchen interior for that crate.

been to pomona to help Dad with "MONGOOSE" 78' corvette he just restored and was going to do some exibition runs with there but rained out.

while it was raining I had a meeting with the son of the late Llyod Krant the ruler that won the first 6 NHRA events at pomona drags on a niro knuckel head ran 10.50s 137mph beat the best hot rods of the day , for top eliminator ,crismans hustler, bean bandits, NHRA changed rules to stop the home built weapon that couldnt be beat , he retired it in 1953 and the "GIANT KILLER" sat in his living room until about two years ago when 84 yr old lloyd went thru it and had his son push start him and cackle the dormant giant. I meet and became friends with the ol man until his death a year ago, his son wants me to take the bike out of the museum in pomona and take it to bakers field and push started in cackle fest as it should be seen, I will take it home a few weeks before Bako and Father Fury and I will dial it in and possibly make a pass at bako if all is well ,a little worried about how good the track is compared to 1953 when the bike would smoke um to half track, pump the tire up and have the tire wet , and hope it does not hook up and lift the front end, will try to pull it.

had a birthday also with my sinner brothers and other good friends and our best boy James Intfeld's Gig. turned 40 on feb 12th.

will post pics soon as I take a break.

sorry for interupting ya all, you can resume talking now.

    talk soon girls. CF

How did you do all that with your busy schedule of Miller lite shoots and promotions? Shit man, that's time management!

Can't wait to see that '36.

The traction at Bakersfield is MUCH better than the old days. Even the flathead dragsters are going over backwards when they hook up these days. Tell Patty to get that Surfer's car done. I wanna see Adam Sorokin cackling that thing at CHRR this year. How come no pics this time? Germ eat the camera? [IMG]

Umm, it's "Mongoose" as in Mongoose McEwen...not boat-anchor bmx bike Moongoose. Come on. The English Leather Vetter flopper to be exact.

Mongoose's vette was one of the baddest AA/FC's ever. I think he won INDY with that think in 78 as well. Shortly after his son lost his battle with leukemia. It made for one of the most emotional top end interviews in motorsports. Assuming I am correct on the year of course.

Pics please when you can. Always nice to see what you get paid the big bucks for!

  18. Yes, but who knows what Skip Hess had to do with that car, the Blue Max and most of the cool bicycle shit that happened in the last 20 years?

    Pics Cole, we need pics....................

  19. Skip Hess drove a bitchen' Mustang gasser... I think it was the Malicoat Bros. car... he also started the Mongoose bike business and then sponsored Tommy McEwin... My shop teacher in college used to be Tommy's father-in-law...

My dad raced tricycles with Tom McEwen in the early 40's. [IMG] He and his mom lived dwon the street from where my dad grew up in Long Beach.
