No, I quoted what the other guy said at the same time, look closely, those are two separate posts, the first one is mine. I just emphasized the first line of my post as it appears he didnt read it...

I see what you mean, I didnt look at it closely. the post in the box is mine, the post below is seventhirteens. I cut and pasted, then highlighted the first line of mine, I didnt realize that his name didnt carry over on the second part. not operater error, I am blaming the computer! :D

Hmmmm, I tried these wheels on the back mostly for size mockup. I don't think it makes much of a differance mismatched front or rear whitewall it still doesn't look right IMO. My avatar because it was the last decent set of pics to use. These are the rwl tires I ground down for the whitewalls, another tire thread that took off like a wildfire.

Actually, subtract the "good-looking" and we have a few like that in my niebourhood. They are usually having an agitated conversation with a bus-stop bench when I see them...:D:D

  5. I don't even share my own views.

I only have two hubcaps so I run them both on the same side because as I learned from a famouse customizer it doesn't matter if one side matches the other because you can only see one side of the car at a time.

But I swap sides every Tuesday just incase someone walks over to the other side of the car they won't know I only have 2 hub caps.

My biggest dilema is that my wheels don't match one is black and the other 3 are red, keeps me real busy at the hot dawg stand moving wheels around. So a friend of mine from So Cal told me that what I should do is just put the spare on I figured he knew because he was from the same part of the country as the customizer. Now I have 2 red wheels one black wheel and a blue. But I guess that's cool cause someone else told me to do it.

My cousin, down in Alabama, has 2 cinder blocks, a chunk of log and a rusted up bottle jack holding up his car in the front yard. I told him that they needed to match. He told me that his dogs sleep under it and he doesn't want to disturb them. They hold hound dogs in pretty high esteem down south, I guess...

If you were allowed enough letters, I would probably have this is as my signature.

This was something we did about the whitewall issue few days ago...

Recently I happened to spot a late model Bland-mobile sporting a set of whitewall tires. Not the giant whites found on cars into the late 50s-more like the whitewalls found on any upscale car in the 60s and 70s...the new model vehicle had an instant look-at-me quality...the same one found in loud obnoxious children and women with a newly enhanced chest... http://www.mystarcollectorcar.com/2...etty-up-an-ugly-car-with-whitewall-tires.html

Been having a problem with my front tires on my roadster looking much too large, visually. Looking at the photos I notice the same, the whitewalls seem to make the tire and wheel look larger than they really are. They would better on the rear only.

I would probably call her the next possible Mrs. Quinn candidate... I always seem to find the "unbalanced" ones, at least that would be a sort of heads up this time!

That was because the owners were such hard core whitewall guys that they wouldn't run blackwalls on the front even thought they would have been cheaper at the time. Before the mid 60's only the "broke guys or cheap older guys" ran blackwalls outside of the sporty car guys. Black walls came into favor about the same time as the super cars showed up and the Red Line Tiger paws showed up. I remember my dad thinking I was crazy wanting to run black walls with silver painted wheels and beauty rings on my 55 Buick in 1966 but it turned out to be a pretty good look and ahead of it's time.

I'm not looking to argue. My Dually might not be !00% "traditional" but it does have several elements! I do run white walls on the front wheels only

Check it out! I hope you like it
