Try to mind the George, he is full of satire. The right width of white wall combined w/ the era of car is key. No '******** HAMB g***er's' The place has become overun with FNG's the past couple of years.

  3. Whitewalls were mostly a 50's thing and by the 60's were not as common.

"The right width of white wall combined w/ the era of car is key." This sums up the questions. Mixing eras is where many people go wrong.

PS, some of the comments here remind me of the old HAMB. I miss the old HAMB. We give too many "participation trophies" around here these days.

Here's a restoration shot of the early SWC Willys...

Right. The OP did not ask 'do you LIKE white wall tires'. As when I was a FNG, I took off my hat, and wiped my shoes. Deuces that Willys is spot on!

    Let's see

SWC original-around 1961, restoration to the same time period (Olds powered)

High & Mighty original-pre 1960, High & Mighty II clone to the same time period.

Mike Marinoff 55 hardtop- around 1961.

End of WWW popularity the first time around- around 1961.

    See, it all fits.

Your post needs some clarification, who ask what ? The o.p. said he never seen white walls on g***ers, I didn't ask anything either.
