I went to a car show this w/e in Whiteman Park in the northern suburbs of Perth, West Australia. There were lots of things to see if you weren't looking for traditional hotrods and customs. There was some interesting rod fodder though, like Vauxhalls for instance. The rest was basically ****rock musclecars, but I have to say that I really like the XA and XB Falcons, they look like '71 Torinos with a '69 Shelby and '73 Mustang front end respectively. I think they are great looking cars, O/T for here but I included some pics anyway. Some of the more spendy Falcons I saw were what would be a '68 Falcon moredoor that granny had in the US, was stuffed with a 351C and called a GT, hard to believe, but true. I never understood why two door cars didn't make more of a splash over/under here. There is one Falcone here, a '66 with a flathead which triggers my "just because you can doesn't mean you should" reflex, but to each his own. I think I would have tried to hop up a 200/250 six and slide that in, or even a 4.0 for less money.

I've thrown in another pic at the end for the Diggers of Gallipoli that I took down in Bunbury, lest we forget them this week.

Good on ya El Cab, looks like you're soaking up the west and the language very well.

  8. Nice pics man, some very cool cars in there.
I especially like the Cenotaph pic, done an ANZAC Day Guard Duty there back in about 98-99? Miss that place a lot, the Regiment, mates.

ANZAC Day soon though! Looking forward to that!!!
To old mates, may you always rest inside the wire and those rounds be out going.

    Doc.

  10. Hahahaha... I'm with ya now. :)

It's like when we were having Thanksgiving dinner up in New Hampshire with Skip Readio, Joe Szafran and family. I thought they were taking the piss out of our accents because they were saying cah, not carrrrrr. Then I remembered that the people in New England do talk a little different from the rest of the US.
