    Back on the road.
First built in 1959, and it ran like it.
    1 year torn down.
Rebuilt the entire truck, motor , trans, chassis, electrical, brakes, etc.
    Runs good.
some minor bugs to shake out, but happy overall.
Just in time for my move to Wrightsville Beach, NC.
Thanks everyone for all the advice.

the only real bummer is that once I spoke with the builder from 1959, he told me that his old lady brought home big bags of BLUE METAL FLAKE and that was the color origionally. There is still some Heavy Blue flake under the paint in some spots. I was intending to repaint the truck the metal flake but time ran out. maybe next year

What color of blue is the truck? The blue looks period.

Wow, just beautiful. Great job! You got any period pics from when the truck was first built? How did you come to find it?

here are some photos of photos the origional builder sent me.
some are when it was abone stocker.
    some are circa 1965.
I think the blue is a caddy blue from the 70,s

    hey thanks guys.
Ya story of my life is usually, fix all winter, garage gets too dam cold and those repairs end up carrying over to spring and summer.
Then Irun it alittle in fall and wham, friggin winter.
This year I am moving to warm places and plan to do just that.
Look forward to meeting some NC hambers.

If you surf and/or skate you're gonna love Wrightsville/Wilmington. The weather is pretty moderate during the winter but can get kind of hot in the summer. So welcome to NC.... let us know when you're here...

Ya I have been surfing almost 15 years now on and off.
That was on of the factors.
have some friends that have been there for 10 years now so I am pretty familiar.
Skated longer than I can remember, any concrete parks in wilmington yet?
    I keep ya posted ZMAN.

Yeah Greenfield Grind is there, Reggie at Eastern just built a new "private" park in a building on his property, and there are a few really good spots up in the Outer Banks.... Corolla, Currituck, OBX's YMCA, but my favorite spot is Wanchese.... it's not concrete, but it's big and gnarly...
