DAMN!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Jeffrey is just mad because I told him he's not allowed to have a 35/36 coupe because he's got all the cool cars already. I need to give him some mad man love next time I see him so he can get over it... (snicker) This is a weird thread. I've met a lot of HAMBer and most have turned out to be just as cool as I thought they would be. Always like meeting new HAMB fam' members. Interesting story... one time (outside band camp), when I lived in Vegas, another HAMBer and myself were at a Pub and we were sitting at the bar. We had shirts on that made it pretty obvious we had some kind of hot rod affliction going on. Then this dude comes and sits next to us at the bar and starts talking traditional hot rods with is. We looked at eachother like "WTF just happened!" I went on to tell us that he owned one of SoCal's lakes roadsters and was built by Jimmy Shine. I think we both asked at the same time "are you on the HAMB?" Sure enough. He was. I think todd337 was his handle. Small world!
I'm so effin' new here that I'm not on anyone's list;gotta earn my stripes first. I've been fortunate to have met a couple HAMBers at the Sloan show;they didn't propose tying me to the car and draggin' me. First would be hotrodladycrusr;I may have been her former bartender and she one of my customers in a past life-awhile ago,and that's all I'll say about that. Wednesday nights at Uncle Sam's,indeed... Another would be Jungle Pam Hardy;JJL was one of my favorite F/C drivers,and I briefly spoke with him and the lovely Pam at Tri=City Dragway in the Seventies. Both class acts,and I'd love to hear stories of the match race circuit from those days. The other would be Maxwedgeheminut;sharing a love and lust of those '62-'65 B-bodies puts us in unique group. He's in Cali,and I'm in Unemployed-igan,but if I hit the lottery(yeah,right...),I could find an MW car out there and it would be a good excuse to hook up and bullshit about those cars. Without a ride(yet),I'd feel like a total dork hangin' at any cruise scene,but hopefully that will change-SOON! Then,I could meet more of this crowd;my first impressions of this site were of a good group of folks,and I don't expect that to change.
