Jigs are quicker but all is needed is to make it level and square. It takes longer to load, haul, setup, load again, return, and unload a borrowed jig, than to set the frame on stands and shim as needed to get R dun.
You can borrow mine.............if you like driving around the country. I don't use mine very much. Maybe you can sell that nice little coupe body to someone up near me and they can relay the jig back to you. The m/o is in route to you for the olds parts by the way. Steve
Sodas38's jig had the perimeter outline for a deuce frame built into it. Mainly, that is what I need. I have a 27 Chevy frame that I need to 'reorganize'. And no, I'm not kidding. r
It's terrible I know, but I can't remember who bought it. I do know that he lives in St. Louis....correction: Michigan not St. Louis I'll go out and check my paypal payments and see if I can find him there. I have deleted all the pm's of course.
I sold my 27 roadster because it gobbled up too much of my play money and I needed to get my 38 Chevy closer to reality. I think Raven is still puttzin on his though. I will own up and buy dinner for him either way. My roadster went to Nebraska, roadburner1 bought it.
I bought it and rebuilt it a little bit. My roadster chassis is going together on it now. A ways away and will probably be in service for quite a while. Borrow Mecutem's.... Charlie
