History Who cruised Central Ave. Phoenix in the 1970's?

    I did central late 50s to 66 it wasn't just weekends back then I had a 55 chevy bought it out of a back yard $150 built a 301 engine 4 speed lots of fun back then

  3. Cruised Central a little bit with my parents in the late 80’s. Not much going on then but we’d gather at a Burger king. We also hung at the Purple Cow in Mesa. One night on Central at the BK someone said hey they’re trying to get a cruise night going way out in north Scottsdale at a McDonald’s. We drove out and there was about 10 cars. The rest is history as that became one of the biggest Saturday night car gatherings in the country.

  4. Cruised Central and Metro Center from 83-86. Remember parking in the small lot just across the street of Arbys and hanging out on the corner. Still some activity on Central these days, Every Friday night the Ghostriders C.C. and friends meet up at the Lennys' south of Thomas and others meet the 3rd Sunday of every month in the morning at Bosa on Clarendon ( the old Arbys/McDonalds)
