Inspired by conders sketch (and the other quick work artists here) i worked this one out quick, i cant get the idea out of my head so this may have to be added to the must build list

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Jaime's "Tank Girl" comics, but she rides SCOOTERS in his stuff. I really want to build this Hot Rod Manx someday and she seemed perfect for it (signed it with his name too.) I did this drawing so I could paint it 25 feet tall on the shop wall!.....in....1993. That was like, 10 shops ago.

Thanks for the comments and it's great seeing all this amazing work. Beautiful.

That "Mini-C.O.E." was a fun idea. Maybe the front wheels could be fixed and it could steer from the rear like a forklift (It will take some nipping and tucking to make room in the cab.) There was a guy a decade or two ago who literally downsized an early '50s Chevy pick-up to the size of a mini-truck. Chopped, shortened, sectioned etc. It looked stock!!!!

The orange F-100 (with '33 Ford commercial headlights!) came from an '04 Street Trucks deal they asked me to do. All the trucks in the article used front wheel drive Eldo/Toronado transaxles and had air bagged, frame laying, trailing arm chassis for easy loading.

This idea sharing is fun, but it can be tough. It's part of how I make my living with the shop so, I can't post (give away?) everything I do. I will say this...The best ideas come from collaboration. For me, this is the coolest (and hardest to charge for) part of the job.

I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had much time to check the threads. I just caught up on this one and boy has this thing really blown up. I'm loving everybody's contributions. There is so much talent out there and some real inspirational art. Keep it up everyone. Here's my finished version.

posted in a different thread, but it's probably more fitting here...

not too long ago i saw a post on here about the fate of the "Topper" car.
I happen to love that movie, and while the movie car will always hold a certain place, i always felt it was rather hokey looking, and if you search the thread about the fate of it, you can see it only got worse over the years/under the knife.

If i was to build a giant 2 seated speedster to pay homage to the Movie car, how would i approach it?

    :)

I like your rendition a hole lot better than the real thing, go for it! Unfortunately it all looks like it would have to be hand made to stay true to your drawing. How to pull it off? Unfortunately $$$$$$$$$$$$$

And this is more of a study to find the correct angle for a big piece that is in the works.

Here's one more jaransont3 did for me in the style I want. John worked off of my favorite '55, Roy Brizio's.

It was done using an advance series chevy cab. I can see it in my mind but I cant even draw good stick figures. Anybody rember this drawing? Thanks
