Who drops 32 Chevy axles?

I have done some searching with no luck. Does anyone from here drop chev axles? or Who drops them? I want to send my 32 front axle out since its COLD here now. Thanks

 

You don't...go for a '48+ Pick up front axle with the bigger brakes.

32 is basically the same axle as 41-59 half ton except for king pin bore.

contact Sid here on the hamb. He will forward the Pat Ganahl article in Feb 91 rod and custom on the spindle swaps. It will help you with all chevy straight axles. Or wait for Squirrel to add something here. He knows everything.

 

the green grenade guy in utah did mine, the only problem its to short now, still looks ok, also the guy in az does it look for roadsters.com, ill beat the squirrel on this one, 50's truck brakes work with little modification, I think a different inner bearing race, also 53 54 car brakes work, I remember this one from my 31 chevy back in 1968, I talked an old guy on cape cod mass to let me scab the brakes off his 53 chev laying in his back yard. you need different length spacers between the spindle and backing plate to use those, no big deal. , the hubs give you 5x4 3/4 bolt pattern, ok then now the squirrel can pipe in and correct me. oh yeah the truck axle is the same except for the kingpin boss, I have a couple 31 axles-spindles if you need one, have fun

 

MAS up in minn. has replacement front axle that is dropped if that helps......

 

I put 51 chevy car front brakes on it already. I was looking to lower the front this year. Which spindles and brakes do I use if I get a dropped truck axle? Thanks
