Stay tuned (so to speak) for a major Gasser announcement in the next few days - one of those "I never thought it would happen to me" things...

I cannot BELIVE this thread is still around..... I still dig the shit out of it though...

jangleguy. This thread is right up your alley. Got any more shots of your car??

BTW, here is the mandatory Henry J pic. I think there is a shot of my car on just about every single page of this thread.

When this thread started, my car was still sittin beside this guys trash heap. Now, the Henry's been drug home, built, thrashed and sold about 6 months ago.

    Here is the found shot.

Here is the done shot. Pretend you don't notice my kid has his hand on his junk. (sorry)

Flamedabone: I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "that Henry J is perfect!"
Superchargednailhead: Yours isn't too shabby either! Is that a supercharged nailhead in it, or am I assuming too much?
Yeah, this thread is right up my alley allright(!), but right now I only have the pix of my Anglia that have already been posted on here, and everyone's probably sick of seeing it by now...And I can't post pix anyway (had to send my pix to Rocky and have him do it for me last time).................................

  13. OK, here are a few more out of a couple of 1968 Hot Rod magazines. And how about tha gasser Jeep!

  19. The whitewall slicks seemed to disappear in the very early 60's. I was going to do those on my car but after I started looking through my old Hot Rod Magazines I noticed that the era I was going for was the mid 60's and you find very few cars with whitewall slicks at that time.

Depending on color I decide to go with. I thought 'bout using wide whites on the back.

I have to say, a gasser style car on the street is a bad mother@#$%er. I can't stand when somebody has a rigid set of rules to go by when building any hot rod or custom...but whitewall slicks on most anything seems to sissy it up a bit. Just my opinion.

My dad ran a C/Gas '55 chevy in the late sixties at a very small time track called Cedar Creek Raceway outside of Louisville, Kentucky. I'd give anything if someone out there contacted me if they ever saw it run or actually had pictures of it. It was called the "Outlaw", hugger orange with brick primer spots and ran radiused wheelwells, white steel wheels and a 327. It was a hardtop.

I ain't cutting on anybody's tastes, I just like my hot rods scary...

The 57 is mine, this pic is from the previous owner, back in the 60s. The Oldsmobile was a local drag car in the 60s and now is sitting behind a barn ROTTING, straight axle, home made headers and all.
