Bus-ter, your '39 Chevy really gets with the program! LS-7's are awesome, it's a shame you can't buy them anymore. How fast did that car go?

That orange/bronze coupe is so bitchin'. It was my second favorite car at the HAMB Drags, behind Danny's blue Stude. We gave it our "Kontinentals Pick".

The car was built in the early 60's by some guys his Dad knew. His Dad bought it in the early 70's and kept it until 2 years ago. That's when the son (current owner) bought it from his Dad. Cool story and super cool car.

    Hi Glenn,

You are missed as a member of the Mid America Willys Club!

Headed to our 2nd GASSER Nationals at Thompson Raceway Park, Thompson, Ohio, this weekend (Sept. 8-9). Looks like we may have clear skies for a change. Love it!

Some great looking cars here! Here is my "Project Gasser". If all goes well, I'll be up and running this coming spring.

1951 Henry J, starting to go together gasser style (finally). Too far apart for pics at this point but I have a 500inch 6-71 blown Caddy and Olds rear for it. Nothing polished or plated.

    GREAT THREAD!
I am about to tear apart my '56 Poncho.
anyone know anybody near Omaha with a gasser I could get a good look at/bother about their car? I am learning as I go on this one since there seems to be none around and I am way to young to have seen any of the originals back in the day.
oh yeah, sorry I havent been around much (like anyone missed me) but it's summer and I'm not gonna waste the only good weather we get!
    thanks
    Joe

I see a lot of my old pics are gone so I will repost in order of build- I got them in more or less the right order w a few mix ups but you get the idea , there were many more but pics were lost in a house fire in 87
the blue 40 is a photoshop and I just reaquired it to do just that to it. the 39 53 were projects that got sold for one reason or another , the 57 2dr, 56 SD, Austin and A PU were original gas cars , the Nova was a drag car in SS/A, the 57 4dr was a S/A drag car returned to the street. The 37 was gasser in Ariz., then a street racer In CA, later a semi custom (and VERY POOR one at that) I returned it to a semi stock look body)

and todays car it is low going and will be even slower soon but it will have all the power of the old days w a few modern additions for my old ass. An old sixties rod that has seen strip duty, but never a full time drag car. Yah, I'm a photo freak :D, I want one last car w a LOT of power B4 we cannot afford to drive them like that anymore.:(
