I'm not sure. I bought it in '64, sold it to Bob Hines of San Gabriel and he got it this far. Not sure where it ended up. Those photos were taken at the Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia, CA in '68...It was pretty "interesting" without front brakes....

  8. A fellow HAMBer coming over this weekend to help with some welding. Hopefully I'll have it running in a few weeks. I've got new springs and ball joint spacers waiting too.

Thanks! The first Dart I built was in Hot Rod Delux a few month's back for Steve Magnante. Mine is the sister car to his, although they are two very different cars. Hopefully, wheelstands in the next few weeks or so. Unfortunately, the rampage Dart of Steves is now on the East Coast, so the dream of us match racing each other may seem far fetched:

this car was in the movie Hot Rod. Raced the primer gray Willys...lost of course. We redid it from top to bottom and front to back. Need to get it out for a good flogging. Building the Willys next. See this link for more.

Here's a picture of Oddy's Austin pre-chop that I took at Niagara with Zakia's Willys in the background. (I think it was '65 or '66) Also a picture of Oddy & Zakia at Niagara, a newpaper photo. ("69)
Besides Oddy's car being redone, Zakia found his old Anglia in Michigan and is in the process of restoring it. I have lots of pictures of it from the 60's but they are on my old computer--just got this one and haven't transferred anything yet!:(
Also, here are pictures of Zakia's '55 and Willys along with my old '48 Morris Van that I built as a street driven rod and a picture of an Austin from Tonawanda at the Lancaster "Sunday Niagara" meet this year.
Does anyone have pictures of the Staub Brother's Trucking candy blue '55 with everything in the chassis chromed? They were from Buffalo and ran at Niagara. Absolutely beautiful car!!
