    1971 Vega Panel Express, soild tube axle, 2x3 square frame front to rear, 10pt cage, Ford 9" posi gearing 5, built by J&W, 4 link rear, wheelie bars, coil overs, all steel tilt front clip, 1968 Z28 302 (yes a real one) built by Dugan, all the best, 1968 M21 4 speed (same donor car) built by J&W
    - new build over the last 3 years, less than a 1000 mi. on the speedo, not my speedo the cars. Now in for paint, lettering & graphics
    (think of Big Daddy Ed Roth) all rolled into a pump gas, street legal...
    light weight, great power, wheel standing what the hell is that GASSER!
    If i had the cash for a 57 Chevy... you know, so it's a Vega.

    What else do you do with a Vega? make it a planter, chicken coop or gasser.

    No matter how rough, any gasser is the best looking car on the strip, street or show!

    Dude, ditch the GAY modern hood scoop and rear wheels and you have a cool ride. How fast is you're pump gas ride???? Mine will go 10.40's in cool air on pump gas. Flat nose Vega's are cool.:D

    Ive been kicking the idea of changing out my slapper bars for ladder bars like yours for my car. Like everyone says now days, Wont that bind without any floaters? Then again my old 60's style slapper bars are clamped with no give so i dont see the difference between your setup and mine. I guess they both bind.

    Very nice car!

    KIWIGASSER ::

    I have done most of the car myself with the help of a buddy Logan Davis at his Garage/shop, But he went in the Military so i have no shop to work in right now.

    I had some parts Kev wanted & threw in a Lil $$ and he closed in the Wheel House where i cut it for the Slicks & i Told him what i wanted to do with the Trailing arms & Kev Fabbed up the Mounts.

    They have a Slider at the front mount for some Travel, But it will be STIFF when its all together so i am Not Worried to much about Binding.

    With no shop to work out of i have a couple Friends doing some work as if i don't the project will become Stagnent and Nothing will get done, I would rather give Props to my Friends than let the car sit & have no work done at all.

    The rear suspension on my Willys is original 60's stuff and tighter than tight. That damb car noly bounches on the tires, not the springs. and she still rips off 60 foot times in the low 140's with the front tires in the air out to the tree. It's not the best set up in the world but it works for me.:D
