    Pic request please
Looking to notch my 50 Fleetline but not wanting to go with a huge stepnotch, trying to avoid major fabrication on a restored car.
    Post your pics please.
Give info on what was done to achieve your stance.
    THANK YOU

  2. I used lowering blocks under my 52. With skirts it looked pretty low. I don't remember it bottoming out. No c-notch. 52chevy_1981.jpg

If you do much notch at all, the center section ( pumpkin) will hit the trunk floor. Your drive shaft will also hit the tunnel. It's a snowball!

My car has a smaller notch, but it is deeper than the frame. Basically it offsets the depth of the frame. It look like a c-notch, so nothing really special to see. Trunk floor required clearance at the notches and the center. The previous, previous owner did the mod with the body on, and I assume by some of the work quality that he was standing on his head for part of it.:D It is tight quarters doing a notch from inside the wheel well.

Sedan here... coupe might be easier?

On the cheap if you run skirts you run shorter tires in the rear you get plenty of drop that way.we did that when we were kids. Mid fifty’s early 60s, yeah I’m old guy

I wouldn't try to do a c-notch on a top hat frame. You could get a Gambino step notch and just cut it down to what you want. If you want it low without hitting you need to tunnel for the rear anyway.
