My 54 Ford F100 has a 300 inline 6. It has Offenhauser DP 4V intake, Holley carb, Late model dual exhaust manifolds and a performance cam.

  6. Ok. Now THIS is a cool thread :)

Building a Kustom 47 Plymouth vert - thinking about running the stock motor if I can find the stuff I need to set it up right. Here's a quick and dirty digital rendering of what I plan to do (used a shot I found on ebay for the before and after photos).

    [IMG] Before&Aftersmall.jpg

Anybody out there have an Edmunds high rise for a 47 plymouth P15 motor? I've got an Edmunds head but haven't yet found a decent 2x2 manifold and I don't care for the offys.

Please let me know asap so I can figure out what I'm doing

  7. There was one on e-pay last week, 'not sure if it's still there. These do pop up there pretty regularly.

  8. I saw that one. It didn't have the holes in the ears for the linkage so I decided to pass on it. There's one on there now that's REALLY rough but I'll see how the bidding goes...

Picture of John Wick's model T that sports an English Ford Zephyr/Zodiac straight 6 from the late '50s/early '60s. They're sometimes used in Brit rods an' sound/look the bollox! John's is 'super spammed up'! He cast the 'ally' rocker covers himself.

    And this set-up.....

..... could, fitted with Raymond Mays heads and triple 45 DCOE Webber carbs, do 0 - 60 in 6.1 seconds in 1964!

  16. Actually come to think of it , if you look at the picture of my tank (Bob the Ferret) on the left here , that has a Rolls Royce inline B 60 motor in it . So I guess I have two inline powered cars .

Just picked up a '50 GMC w/ the 228 in it. Forgot to bring the camera so I don't have any pics of it sunk into the dirt up to the running boards (D-OH!). It had sat there since '73, engine turns but slow, filled the cyls w/ Marvel Mystery oil so we'll see. Looking for a 270 or a 302 anyhow (and a 12 port head, bucket of hens teeth, Jimmy Hoffa).

This is the inliine 6 of my dreams! I run one of these in my daily driver 1978`2500S Triumph sedan, with twin SU's on the side, but this one has the unreal Lucas sequential mechanical injection on it. I've just located a set of these for my car, and if I build a 6 cylinder powered T bucket, this will be the engine Ill use, with all this injector gear hanging out in the breeze!

Incidentally, engine weighs under 400lbs and puts out 150hp stock, up to 225hp with mods.

Color me slow, but I have just discovered the 4.2 (4200, whatever) Vortec inline 6. All aluminum with dual overhead cams. I know it's not traditional, but it starts at 275 - 291 HP, that might make more sense for me to start with; as opposed to 90 HP. Now to bolt a blower to one.:D

Well as you would think from my name I´m in to inline 6.

    Here is my new 261.

Meanwhyle the Holly/Weber dual carbs are gone and a single Fish carb on a Clifford intake feeds the engine.

quick question for you, how do you get the that two-bolt valve cover onto the later engine? I have a '54 235ci in my '49 sedan, and I have a cool ally Offie valve cover I want to use. However the '54 motor has a four bolt fixing, and the Offie is he same as the one you have in the picture.

2 of the studs/bolts that are holding the rocker assembly are longer, like in the 216.
They usualy sale them where they sell the Offy covers.

Just silicone the seal to the head and use some extra drops where the for bolts usualy go.
