COE who has a tilt COE cab? show us how it's done

Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by oldschoolantiqueauto, Jan 1, 2013.

  1. Who has designed a tilt COE cab? Please give us all some ideas how you did it & the pro's & con's. I guess there should not be any con's? A tilt cab COE is the way to go. Especially if your truck is slammed to the ground like mine is. I am still building my truck & my frame is almost ready to set my cab in place. Now is time to design a tilt sub frame for my cab. So I am open for any suggestions & plenty of photos if possible. Pitchers speak a thousand words & I am hard of hearing, LOL...

  5. DEZEL INGEN; Your steps/fenders are nice & low to the ground, but yet your cab still sits high over the frame. I was guessing my cab floor would need to be real close to the frame to get that low overall look. Do you still have a doghouse, or were you able to stay above the motor? Also, your steering box is inside the frame. Mine is outside the frame, so I will need to double jointed extendable rod from box to steering column. Not sure how much room I will have for a rod long enough for the amount of stretch needed to follow the cab up all the way?

shopdawg; I will find wetskier's build, Thanks for the tip.
