just as you enter the town of Entiat, Wa. by Wenatchee. This yard has been untouched for decades. Stopped by last month, it's still all there. never anybody there when I stop in.

This lot is now empty. I got mine. The '40 pickup in the foreground is the owners only transportation

Outside Paulsbo Wa. New owners cleared this all out to make way for more late model junk. These vehicles were going for a hundred bucks each. Wish I had a yard big enough, I woulda' grabbed a couple...

Enjoyable tour, Dan! AND nice camera work too! :D

  9. Is this off of the main road (rt 97)? Also, is it at the north end of town or the south end? I'm going to be out that way in a month or so, and would like to stop in and have a look around.

    Thanks - Keith

Hey Kieth, here's the 20. Leaving Cashmere on I-2/97, heading for Chelan on the West side of the river. not actually Entiat, but more like Sunnyslope, Wa. (98822) right on 97, JUST past Ohme Garden Road, on your left. If you Google map it you'll see his yard. More than one Hudson there. Check out this 2 door...

this one sat just off Bois D'Arc and 81 Highway in Duncan for about 50 years. It's not too far from there now.

this was my buddy Vic's "no parts for sale" row at Empire Salvage in Empire, Oklahoma until his heart attack forced him to crush for quick cash. All gone.

this '57 Plymouth still sits at E&J Salvage in Denton, Oklahoma (yep, Denton, OKLAHOMA). Denton is southeast of Sterling and a ghost town.

this 1938 Olds sits near the Chitwood gas plant between Rush Springs and Cox City, Oklahoma. It was hidden for years behind an abandoned farm house but my buddy Boyd knew where it was because he had pulled the straight 8 engine + tranny and dropped it into a '37 Chevy truck for a kid with more money than brains back in the 1940s. I swear he said they had to cut part of the Chevy's dash to make the thing fit and that the back of the head actually poked into the cab of the truck.

  16. How did all that Detroit iron make it into those Belgian woods? Their climate sure ate those cars up. The acid rain must be awful there.;)

snapped this one at Bo's Salvage in Duncan, Ok. this morning. The '40 Buick is supposed to run but needs a starter. $700 ~ I GOT TOO MANY PROJECTS ALREADY, BO!!!

a few scratches and an hour later a '63 Galaxie finally gave up it's rusty, fourth-decade-and-counting death grip on my third 'solid' 14 inch Ford rim. It's rough but for $5 I can give it some love and make it work. I got a fourth one located about an hour from my house and I am going to pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

WombatBarf, please tell me I misunderstood this. His heirs didn't really
    crush a ca. 1940 Graham/Hupp, did they?

  23. Don is the only Ingram left, the other son died a few years back.

Bought a twenties Chevy cowl and windshield frame from Don today, first time in the years I have known him that he ever priced something what I considered reasonable. He is a good dude but eccentric.

  27. Gotta feeling my bro took this shot of Warnertown, a famous old yard near Port Pirie in South Australia.
Peacocks would come flying out of the cars where they'd roost. There were dozens of cars, 20's, 30's esp., 40's & 50's. Lots of Fords, Chevs & Mopars too.
It's a place where you'd drive by tin on the way in, We used to love pokin' around in this big yard. The bloke I remember runnin' it was friendly & casual too. It's all gone now, for some time- the fella sold the yard.
I took a hammer & chisel to a Holden in there- still have the section.

  28. Nice to spot a few '42's in this thread. BTW, I'd love to visit Horopito.

    Where is this???????

  30. It seems too many large collections of cars are in the wrong hands, owned by weirdos that you cannot deal with. They would rather crush a car and get a couple hundred than sell a car for scrap price or a few bucks more than scrap price. It doesn't make sense, and it will always be that way. One can hope for an estate sale and hope the heirs know how to deal with the cars.
There are some people out there that you can deal with though, just hard to find.
