This is a 1945 John Deere Lindeman crawler that I've had for over 40 years. A home made garden tractor that I built from scratch. A 1937 Shaw. This was originally a two wheel walk behind tractor. All I had of it was the transmission, axle and wheels so I built a riding tractor. 1947 FMC Bean Cutler. These were only made one year. This is how it looked when I got it. Restored. Fmc bought out Bolens and the mid 1940's and they re-designed their Bean Cutler a little and came up with the Ridemaster. These were built from 1948 thru 1958 and they had just about any attachment that a farmer could think of. They were really popular with nurseries and people with larger gardens. The front drive wheels can rotate around at 90 degrees so the tractor will turn around with the operator spinning in one spot. This 1948 Bolens Ridemaster is still as it was when I got it about 15 years ago. This is a home made tractor that was most likely built back during the depression. It is made out of Ford and Chevy car parts from 1920 to 1931. This is how it looked when I got it. And how it looks now. This is a link to You Tube video of the John Deere Crawler running. The videos work better if you click on the " watch on Youtube ". This is the link to a video of the home made tractor from the depression running.
@Retired, I could spend the whole weekend admiring and playing with those. I’m not a big Deere fan but that dozer is fantastic!
I just bought an old 80's model Long 510, because it was cheap. Made in Romania. Pretty good tractor 45 hp. Trying to fix all the leaks right now.
I have one. Mine is called a Big Mow. Looks identical, but mine is red/white. One of the first zero turn mowers made, I believe.
My son did. I did get an ice cream waffle however. This was my third year attending, thanks for the heads up.

LOVE the innovative rear weights on the John Deere D ? Fill the entire inside of the flat spoke wheels with concrete !!
Here is the only tractor I have left. A 1949 Farmall M with a 2-71 Detroit Diesel conversion done by the Earle Equipment Co. of Detroit sometime in the 50's. During that period GM Diesel (pre-1965 Detroit Diesel) offered "retrofit" kits for certain tractors and if you brought your tractor to a GM diesel distributor they would install. This was my Dad's tractor and the only one I kept after he and my uncle passed in 2010 and 2011 respectively. I completely went through it front to rear in 2012 and subsequently drove it over the Mackinac Bridge twice (2012 & 2013) during the Owosso Tractor Parts annual bridge ride. My dad drove it over in Sept 2009 in unfinished condition (about 2 months before he was diagnosed with cancer). Here is the link to my restoration album and a couple of photos. https://jcrootandsons.com/photogallery/index.php/1949-Farmall-M As purchased in 2007 My dad in 2009 just before crossing the Mackinac Bridge Finished and staged and ready to cross the Mackinac Bridge in 2012
Great thread! Some really cool machinery. These are my old girls. The first one was bought new by my grandfather.
I evicted this one of it's 15+ year stay in my shop today! It is the one that I should have walked on by, but it was calling for help! I just didn't know how much help. What wasn't broke was totally wore out!!! I've had a 5-6 year hiatus since my younger brother passed (me cohort in red tractor shenanigans) But @Six Ball and I are going to get really deep into 1926 Chevrolet roadster wood this winter, so I decided that the tractor was going to be out by the first of fall! I did not get it done, but it came out under it's own power! What it looked like when I bought it. With the door open. Out under it's own power! Doing cool down in new home. Another tractor (this tractor Dad bought new) with the 1926 Chevrolet frame ready to go into shop!
Just brought this 1948 Allis Chalmers B with a Woods belly mower, runs great, I was really surprised as it was covered in bird poop from sitting in a barn for years.
I have an International 140, which would be the same sized tractor, with that same mower deck. It is the only lawn mower I use. Does a great job.
Letourneau 800 series dozer. I was installing a new 16V-92T Detroit Diesel. 24 yard capacity blade. A few years later we updated the engine to a 8V-149TIB , DDEC (2 , I think) back in the mid 80's.
