If you were only wanting to drop your truck 3-4" without affecting ride, how would you do it? I have been reading for days of diff. setups. Seems mono's would simply get me where I want without going IFS. How is the ride with mono's? I'm reading very mixed reviews. I only want to spend the dough once on this drop. Flipping the axle is lower than I want to go, so that's not an option. Maybe Sids drop axle in front and mono's in the rear? I'm just looking for a decent riding combo and opinions.
on my F100 I put a dropped Axel in the front and in the rear I raised the front spring hanger up about three inches. If thats not enough you can make longer shackles or reverse the main leaf spring
That would work for what I want. Do you have any pics of your truck lowered. Was it about 3 inches front and back afterward? Also is the 3 inch drop axle pretty much plug and play or did you have to modify anything?
Droped axel was a bolt in deal you will need to drop you're tie rod thought. The truck still has a slight rake to it. Do a search for Sids dropped axels and talk to him he can help you out Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Thanks, that's about where I want to be. I wonder if you could make up for the slight rake by taking one leaf out the back as well? Not sure if that would be too much drop, I'll have to play around with it. I looked at sids axles, I'll have to give him a call.
