Well, I know several people who give me great advice, but I rely most on Ed Petrus of PA...he knows every little thing there is to know about 1957 DeSotos. I don't make a move without consulting him first.
My boy when he's not working out of town which is too much,,he's a boilermaker, makes a fine gas tank and tailgate for my old Int'l. Great helper,,even gave me a case of beer to shoot coat of paint on his own truck
My Dad was a machinist and a good mechanic. He p***ed when I was 17 so I never really learned much from him. I was pretty much self taught. Someone who was a big influence on me though was the guy who lived next door, Linn (Chip) Chester Williams III, may he rest in peace. He was a vietnam vet and looked like Grizzly Adams. We traded a lot of cars back and forth. I learned a bit from him but mostly we just had good times. These days, I turn to the HAMB when I need to know something. There's a lot of collective knowledge and a WHOLE LOT of opinions here. Thanks guys.
