I'm sure that somewhere in the past I have seen kits to increase the oil capacity of an oil pan. Lots of "store bought" pans out there but not for my Chevy 235. I'm sure I can do this without a kit but it might make it easier.
I've done a few kicked out sides for oddball oil pans that are not factory available. Easy to make the basic side angled kick outs and bottom from one piece and fit it together on the pan with the bottom cut off. Make patterns for the sides, fit and weld. Leak check with water, repair leaks as necessary, dress it up and paint. It would be helpful to do your basic patterns with the engine in the car so as to avoid chassis/steering, etc. clearance issues.
Thanks for the reply's! Actually I want to kick the sides out as Mr. Chops said. I used the term "deep sump" knowing that any other term would throw people off. I'm prepared to make the pieces as recommended....just basically lazy.
