I'm flaking out my roof and I've been trying to find a paint co. that carries a heavy baby blue or light blue flake. I haven't been able to find a baby blue flake...only deep dark blues. I'm not a painter by trade but my buddys a pro who works at a dealership and we're both trying to figure this thing out? Any ideas out there? The body color of the car is going to be a deep dark blue with some pearl and light flake and I really wanted to go with a baby blue heavy flake top.

    Thanks for any help -dino

www.oldschoolflake.com has some light blues. And youve tried HOK with no luck? That seems like one of the first places Id check.

I just got my flake yesterday from Kustom Shop Products. check 'em out at kustomshop.com. They shipped same day from San Diego last Fri. and I got here (Flint, MI) yesterday. Good service and the guy on the phone was real helpful.
    BTW....phone # is (858)909-2110

  6. From what I've learned, you shouldn't use color flake.
    base coat,
    silver flake,
then kandy color of your choice
You'll get a better shimmer and not risk sanding an edge of the colored flake to silver as all flake is silver under the color.
