Technical Who makes the best 49-51 Mercury rocker panels?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RMR&C, Aug 28, 2020.

  1. I'm in need of some replacement outer rocker panels for a Merc. Who makes some that actually have the correct shape and fit? Or at least come close?
I know most repair panels need some, um, "adjustment" , but damn, some of them are pure junk!
Would like to hear from anyone that has laid eyes and hands on some good ones. Thanks!

Got mine from Sherman several years ago. Were located in Michigan but I’ve heard they are now available thru Summit or Rock auto. Expensive but a good fit.

  4. Thanks, will check with both.
I probably should have mentioned I need 4 door rockers......I'm sure that limits my choices somewhat.
    Not finding much via google.

The 49-51 Mercury Rockers from Shoe Box Central Right and Left side sets pictured.
They come 3 pcs each side, for a total of 6 pcs. Inside rocker, outside rocker, and the top sill plate piece.
The inner feels like 18 ga and the other 2 pcs feel like 20 to me. 20210125_152249.jpg 20210125_152258.jpg 20210125_152338.jpg
