are they all of the sudden popping up on ebay so inexpensively? I think I like them for my '55 wagon. Thought I liked these saltflats and they just aren't doing it for me. If there is a source other than ebay I would like to know. The ribbed large windows really set them off. They are not Cruzers. Thanks, Bill

what did you enter in Ebay to find those.. they looks pretty good

  3. They are Chinese imports, I ordered some for a couple pals that wanted them. Real cheap, price that is. The castings and polish are actually pretty good. The China thing kinda bothers me........................do a search here for Halibrand in the last 2 weeks. Also Lejurne is selling Halibrand stuff on Ebay, someone said they are chinese now as well?

They have been showing up under the "Halibrand" search by two different sellers.

Kind of thought so. But damn the price is nice. Hate to have them blowing apart though at speed.

Can you get these T? Want the 15/4's for the front, 15/8's, 7's for the rear depending on the b.s.

  5. The guy doesnt act like he wants to sell them outright. He puts up some wheel and tire auctions every few weeks. Ebay seller name rimspe******t. From what I can tell, he runs a tire store? I dont know if he is importing them or someone else is? You will find these same wheels being resold on Ebay for TWICE the money.

  6. If you contact him, he will tell you to do the Buy it now for $325+75 shipping. He prefers Paypal. We have done 4 sets (handled the buy for freinds) and the guy seems totally on the up and up.

Great looking wheels. How much are they?

My job is to test and approve new products into our facility.
Within the last two years Chinese imports have dominated this area.
I spend extra time to find a reason not to use them.
The first year was easy.... alot of problems but usually created from the lack of understanding.
The second year they nailed it.
Sad to say it but the quality here from that country has exceeded the domestics products.

I wish I could do something to change it..............
What is our country going to do when all of the skills and craftsmanship in this country is lost because our kids are no longer learning the fundmentals of manufacturing?
Its as if they treat China like our brothers in Canada..
Do they fail to forget? China is Communistic.

Wait till the next time they decide to close the exports to us because of some politcal wrangling.
Its all comes down to the bottom line.
Sorry for ranting but when you have my job...this problem is before me everyday.. I just wish others were as much aware. PJ

The other two have been letting them go for half that amount, I should have jumped on them. 15/4's just went for like 182? I think.

I agree. On top of that, China is going to start competing with us (they already are) for natural resources. Rubber is more expensive this year 'cause they need so much. They are also buying up oil companies in South America (where we get a large portion of our oil) to fuel their economy. It won't be long....

Unfortunately for us, the chinese are getting their act together.
Chinese steel and aluminum are no longer the **** they used to be.
Chinese motors and bearings are now turning up in top quality tools, and they are equalling or outperforming american and european parts.
Chinese casting, polishing and chrome is coming up in the world too.
Unfortunately I have to say, go for it.
Most american stuff is imported then ***embled here with far eastern and central american components anyway, about all that is american these days is the label.

I called this guy, because I just wanted a pair (15x10), instead of a set of 4, and he told me $200, shipped! Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me! He said I could send him a money order, or drop him an email, and he'd send me a paypal ****on. Seemed like a really nice guy on the phone...:)

But, I've come up with a different plan of attack for wheels, so I will not be getting these. (Thanks Gus!:D )

These Chinese wheels have been showing up at car show for the last two years or so...some of the sellers have implied they are "Americans" or other brands that they are not....

so true. too bad when we start off on what to do about the situation it gets too POLITICAL for Ryan and he starts locking posts. this country is in for some rough times, we all are going to have to change our standards of living, if you haven't already, instead of playing the blame game and continue to buy nothing but inexpensive foreign made goods, while insisting on union pay and benefits, while driving fugly SUV's on credit, drinking overpriced coffee and watching American Idol(or American Hot Rod!).

um I just want some wheels.

You all concern yourself about who/where/how/why...my pipefitter neighbor came home Sat. with his new Ryobi lawnmower. So I now know he can't break mine anymore and better still I know longer have to listen to his hypocrital ***...if you want to help me see the light? Inherit millions and start a hot rod manufacturing facility that repops all these parts we can no longer afford to buy on ebay. Better still. If you have the balls? Buy a lathe and start turning out 22" billet aluminum wheels and create a whole new business from the ground up. But, I won't buy those either. Don't like them and can't afford them.

Ryan once said we may not like what his political thoughts were if he posted them here...
Which, of course, makes me all the more curiouser

(We only beat Hitler because we had the means of production to get the war machines built.) Just had to... :D

Thanks, I misunderstood. Still, finding it difficult to paste in "rimspe******t".

  29. I HAD his addy, tossed it yesterday? Or this morn, I forget.

  30. Those don't look bad... I'm gonna check into them for the truck I'm building...

As for the Chinese thing... if people didn't price shop... stuff would still be made in America... supporting American families...

    Sam.
