Don't know the answer to this trivia question. I know there is a lot of knowledge on this site, so maybe someone knows! Who came up with the design, painted it, and lettered it?

My pop used to run around with Jocko, and there was a painter within the group of guys, not sure if he was one who painted it, but I hit up my uncle to see if he remembered..

While you're at it, ask if the car didn't have a Ford GAA tank engine when it was originally built. I'd swear that I read something back in the dark ages to that affect. At the time nobody knew what one of them was.

I met him a few years back at my uncles 50th anniversary, very interesting guy. He had a prototype rotary style of an engine he was showing my pop and others. I don't think he ever finished it though.

The first version I remember had a blown carburated Chrysler, ran an 8.35 at Riverside when most fuel guys were running 8.50s...but don't know who painted it...Jocko later put an Allison in it, don't know about the tank engine

My uncle told me Eddie Potter sprayed his 32 in 59 and remembered him saying that he sprayed a dragster a black metal flake, but couldn't remember who's it was. He said my pop would of known everything about that car.. the info we lose when people p*** ****s....

The time frame almost qualifies it for the $19.95 price!

    Doug,
You gonna clue anyone in on this? I gotta admit it took a little while for me to snap to it.

And you guys must be older than me. I don't think I ever saw one for less than 49.95.

I was going to use that price but I couldn't remember when it was last $19.95. So rather than be cl***ified as 100% dinosaur I went with the $29.95.

I think the $29.95 price was for the "Diamond Luster".
