It seems there are a lot of vendors selling these patch panels. Does anyone have any experience with any of these, and are any better than others, or are they all made in the same place? I need patches for a 31 vicky.

  2. I got the lower door inner patches for my vicky from Mac's .
They were really nice. Fit well but I thought they should have been a little heavier.
I made the rest of my patches though.

Lots of venders but I wonder how many stampers supply all those venders.

The panels for Jim's Model A were purchased from Mac's and they were not as nice as we were told they would be,they are still in the corner and replacement pieces were made in the shop. HRP

I used to work at 'Brookville Roadster' and they supplied a lot of the panels they made to other vendors.. That said I have noticed not all wheel well patches are created equal....

I got a new set of lower door skins for my 36 3W coupe from EMS Automotive and the quality was excellent.

  7. Have had used Mac's as the vendor but parts were manufactured by Brookville and were fine. I've also used Howell's and after a little tweeking were still fair for the price however, the parts I needed were backorded at the time

Best cowl side panels I ever used were from Last Refuge in CO.
Not sure if he is still trading due to some delivery issues but they were by far the best ever.

Seems to be a large variety. I would rather spend a few bucks more and get the best quality I can. That might prove to be a challenge.

Have oedered different "patch" panels for the lower cowl and door for a 31 Coupe. Found the bead to be incorrect and not match the original on all. Gave up the hunt, turned dies for the bead roller and made my own. I suppose that if you replace all the lower, rear quarter, door and cowl panels you would not notice the difference.

the reason i started making everything..spent 50 bucks on a pair of patches that look like **** . i got the patches before the doors and figured i would be in good shape because they were the "top of the line" patch .:mad::mad:
