Yea, its got a lumpy cam....I traded this truck for another car so not sure of all the specs...Ill give this a try....plus, I just got back from the driveway, looks like the gasket between the header and tailpipe is toast...also going to replace that...as for being a ***** or something and just dealing with it is fine for the guys who buzz back and forth to cruise nights on sunny days, however this is my everyday transportation, rain sun, whatever.. so Im gonig to fix mine! Oh yea, when I p*** you in your everyday, modern car, make sure to wave to let me know your into old cars too....***hole...sorry, more fake people around here sometimes then real! As for the smell of Jersey, yea it smells so stay the **** out....too many ***holes on the roads around here as it is!

All I got to say is. If your tailpipe is conected to your header that ****er is loud!!! on my car the exhaust pipe is conected to the header then the muffler is conected to the exhaust pipe and the tail pipe is hooked to the muffler.. but then I always do stuff the correct way ..also Toast doesn't work well as gasket material

I usually smell like beer and gas...if I drive my car around I smell like beer, gas and oil. But you can bet that if I've had beers I smell like gas. The natural kind

I like the aroma after a long hot day in a my roadster. let's see sweat, fuel, a little oil, maybe some coppertone to mix it all up. I dont know about you but a long day in the saddle just makes me smile. P.S. My wife is by my side most the time even going across Neveda to Bonnevile. If it was easy every one would do it.

I'm surprised more guys haven't pushed adjusting the timing. Unless your carb is wacked, the timing is the obvious choice. Good news is it's an easy fix. There are a lot of articles on how to set it and there are a lot of variables to consider but unless you're running a really wild cam it shouldn't be too challenging. You didn't mention what engine you have, but if it's a SBC and you have a distributor with a vacuum advance starting out with around 12* at idle (vacuum plugged/mechanical only) you should be in the ballpark. Make sure that your vacuum advance is working properly and drawing vacuum from the manifold, not the timed vacuum. If you don't have a vacuum advance you're pretty much screwed below 3000 RPM.
Have one of your car club friends who knows his stuff about ignitions set the timing for you and you WILL BE AMAZED at how much better the fumes are.
    Been there, done that.
