Are these the wheels that this thread is about? Looks pretty cool.

the full fendered 32 from Santa Rosa-but maybe those wheels are not right for that car--it looks great as it is.

While cool, they don't fit the theme described by Ryan, so I am guessing not too. Speaking of Ryan......where the heck did he go?

  9. I was just checking out the store and there's a message that Ryan has had a family medical emergency. It may be why he hasn't chimed in lately. Hope everything turns out OK

Thank you for the nice comment.
I think a fendered car is NOT right for the wheels Ryan is talking about according to his original statement . Here is his original line .

So with that being said , I sill think this is the right choice

Although this car ^^^^^ looks great as is .

I hope all is well with Ryan and family

So far, most of the cars pictured are cool as they are and that's the problem with them. They really don't need anything to improve them. Getting new wheels, just because they're offered, may not be a move forward. Sometimes, you really CAN'T improve perfection.

So, how about showing some cars that NEED wheels. Or is this all about slapping them on because they're free or from the HAMB?

I agree with that except ............ You never know till you try . With out knowing what the wheel is , we are all in the dark . Bolting on a set of wheels to a car that is already perfect may keep it perfect, but a different perfect , or it may go backwards . This is where the choice will be up to Ryan and of course the owner of the car . I can't think of any cars that I liked everything about them except the wheel/tire combo . Usually that is just one thing on the list of many. I have often wondered what an 18" wheel that looks like a 40 Ford wheel would look like stuffed under a rear fender of a 32 with a blackwall tire ? I run 7.50 - 16's so that is a 31" tall tire . I love the look but what if it was a 32" tall tire with a 18" wheel so you are only loosing 1" of side wall rubber . Could be a great look ??? Or not
Anyway , that is the fun of this mystery I think :D

Thats a cool video. I'm guessing late '40s from the '47-48 Plymouth? near the end, could be wrong.
