Trying to remember who it was with the Rx7 daily that was a turbo car? Speak up I gotta couple of questions for ya...
I think HEMI had an RX7 drag car in his family... His dad? I want to play with a rotary one day...10k+ rpm sounds fun. -Dane
[ QUOTE ] ...10k+ rpm sounds fun. [/ QUOTE ] They make lots of noise, but not much torque. We ran against them in SCCA Can Am back in the mid 80s. There were 5 liter SBCs,Cosworth V8s,Hart 2 Liters,BMW 2 Liters, etc. The only ones required to run a muffler were the rotarys. And they were still irratating.

[ QUOTE ] I didn't think Radshit was old enough to have a child with a driver's license. I might be wrong. [/ QUOTE ] his (oldest) sons old nuff to go to wyotech too! radshits an old fart.
Well shit, I guess the Fountain of Youth must be hiding behind all of the cool projects he's got in the garage. No wonder I didn't see it.
Rad is an old fart but he's alright. I love the roatary engines. We have ran em since the inception of the R100 in 69. My last rotary was in an 82. I have a project in mind for one but it has to be a 13B turbo version. They were cranking out close to 200 hp and under 1.3L. Not traditional but would be different for a lakes type of a look. Hide all of it under the hood and run it through the 5 speed. Lotsa shifting and lotsa RPM. They had the 93's down to 14.0 flat at 90mph in the 1/4 and that was at 2850 lbs. Mine should weigh in at 1650 or so.
