    just curious...

got the socal catalog and opened it up...

dare devil hot rods w/ a devil head tshirt a few pages back... says it was no doubt influenced by nose art? huh?

    reason i went huh? is...
i did a corp identity on my bizz and came up w/ Dar Diablos w/ a devil head a year ago. I had the pic on my splash page for about 6 months...
means dare devil, its spelt funny b/c thats what you do to copyright stuff [IMG] and make it your own!

designed my own font with devil horns n all...
registered the name... along w/ the devil head art

I took the splash down and decided to keep it all under wraps untill I was done with all of the art.

It'll all be out this summer w/ my new line of "product" haha... all supersecret... then we'll have a grand opening and party! But I need to finish up ONE more class to graduate and then its FULL TIME DADDEO

put it together b/c I live right next to devils lake in minnesota... narrowed the keywords and ideas and started working w/dare devil... it fit the nitch that I was into... devil heads always rule. and it goes good with the tag line alluring artwork... oh well... fit w/a ton of KEY WORDS dareing and the definition

Funny thing is I have a tshirt w/ the same idea (differnt devil)like that in the works just seemed weird when I seen it... thats how my splash was laid out...

guess we are thinking on the same lines or maybe my art influenced his... just for the record when my tshirts are done I didnt get this "idea" from ALEX M... thats all i really wanted to say here...

im not pissing by the way... NO DRAMA HERE, just an observation...( not like the dare devil hasent been pushed in 50 different ways before) and if it did come from the splash well what a compliment haha... back to scratching on my desk [IMG]

Nice shirt Alex M and socal...

    Regards, [IMG]

Copyrighting is the cheapest way to go.
register tradmarks and patents are expensive and have to be really specific in legal terms.

I always hear a lot of people say who you should patent that!!
tell them "wow you should give me $400.00 to do so!!"
Hey and if anyone steals your idea, it supposed to be a compliment or something like that.

yeah i got all that covered... he has different "name" different "art" same idea under the whore flag of socal just wanted to post that it was interesting... and that my ideas not a spin off of theres For the record...

i dont care if they have a dare devil shirt... just wondered what it had to do with socal and where they got the idea ~~

every ideas up for grabs I know that... i guess it has to do with how fast the piggy can get it to the market [IMG] not that something as broad as the dare devil could'nt be thought up by 6 people at the same time... that said...
    my devils cooler
    and so is my font
    [IMG]

i would take it as a compliment
    just sux its socal
    rock out

This applies to stealing ideas too.

and...since when did a patent cost as little as $400.00...last time I wanted to patent something it would have been around five grand...

That's the new guy they hired after So-Cal and Weesner split the rug when they tried to ram rod him on artwork use without compensation.

Too bad. I hate it when talented artist get shafted, and then have to choose between being out of work, or working for a company without scruples.

django, im 2 hrs away from my computer/ at home in the shop... ill post pics when i get back from break and my t's are printed.

you can see the font at www.dardiablos.com, I took down the devil art but ill post that later

I dont care about the comparison as its loosely stringed to an "idea" / layout... i thought it was weird that So Cal would have Dare Devil hot rods that is linked to what in the company???? other than a cool idea for t's... bla bla bla enough said. I only care what my friends and you guys think anyways

AND I didnt want anyone to think I was doing a spin off of SOCAL how GAY.... can you see what im getting at????

MODERNBEAT for REAL??? Thanks for the info... i didnt know where that guy came from...
I love weesners work and that suxx that socal is flogging him on his art... hes the only reason I buy there damn shirts...

I am offically BOYCOTTING SoCal..(b/c they're fags to weesner) hahahaha..

Weesner if your reading this start selling your OWN ideas on YOUR site and ill buy them there from now on!
(I know you already are) but you need "more" [IMG] I have a big closet to fill... what am I gonna do without socal shirts???
