NICE!!!!!!! Where are you going to race it when finished? The East Coast Gassers have several races in Pa, Beaver, 1/4 Aces and the Grove.

  12. Building this '65 Tempest into an altered wheelbase funny car. blown injected 389 bored and stroked to 577", have both a Lenco and 400thm, Pontiac rear, radiator where the gas tank normally is. It will see some street time though mainly an exhibition car for wheelstands, burn outs and match racers.

Some great cars in here, hope to see a lot of them in Joplin next summer.

Mumbles, your wagon is awesome! I really want a pair of those Stude wheels for my Comet.

DirtyThirty, I saw this at a swapmeet a couple years ago, I think it would be perfect on your truck.

    oldsman71,

Thanks, I'll post a pic tomorrow from work, for some reason when I try to attach a pic from home I get error on the bottom of the page. I have a few nice wheelie shots I'll send. It's a restored Gasser from the 60's, won C/Gas at Indy in '67.

oldsman71, here's a couple of shots for you, both taken this year. All original gasser from the 60's, the only thing different from then is the engine, trans & safety equiptment.

Wow! I've got wood on this one. Love the stance, love the look. Awesome

  28. I took mine to the track but it only spun real bad with the skinny whites. I've been thinking of a visualy nice little loop, just enough to pass tech to run it a bit.

stripping this coupe to redo for track purposes best to date with 2.56 gears and stock stall was 13.06 @ 109mph, gears swapped for 3.55 in it now and a 3500 stall, motors getting a bigger cam and better headers while hoping to trim weight down to 2000lbs with me in it was 2520lbs with full exhaust steel wheels and a full interior. suspension is going drilled I beam and the rear is getting black powder coated coilovers but staying ladder bar.Hoping for something like a 1.4-1.5 short times and high 11's through the traps around the 115-120 mark.hopefully will be at the HAMB Drags 09 with the completed product.

  30. I plan to run this one at the track. It's got a 283, 3.80 gears, posi, moser axles, Muncie 4 banger, 4 point roll bar, etc. Right now the motor is pretty mild. I put together what I had at the time. I am going to run it and see what it will do and then I want to put something together that'll hang with DW :) I've got some cheater slicks that will go on when I go to the track.
