  9. Lovin' this thread. In 2008 I sold both of my OT race cars, '98 Formula went 9.40@143mph and my '00 Camaro that went 10.00@133.

I'm looking for something older and interesting to race, maybe a Chevy II, maybe a '55 Chevy, maybe a '64 Poncho.

I stripped my 60 Ventura and it was still 3,850 on the scale. Very cool car, I don't think I really missed that car or my Catalina sedan until seeing this one.

Does it count if your car isn't legal for either?

I went back to the track last night and made three passes. I set the tire pressure at 12.5 psi. The car leaves pretty good, I didnt do a smokey burnout, I just spun them and cleaned them off. The tires did spin a little on the launch but thats ok....If it hooked up 100%, It would hit really hard when the trans brake releases and Im not ready for that yet.

I ran an 11.82 @ 112 mph with a 1.70 60ft time. Although my times keep getting faster my MPH is stuck at 112 MPH. So that has me looking at air and fuel ( I have plenty of cam and gear). ElPolacko provided me with some info that shows I need to get some more airflow. I have a small cheesy air cleaner inside my scoop. I am going to pick up a standard 14x3 air filter before my next visit to the track. Based on the numbers ELPolacko provided me I am probably choking it for air.

Thanks to Littleman and ElPolacko they have provided me with a bunch of info.

The import crowd is really getting fast A civic ran a 10.10 last night on a license pass.

Thanks.....I know it has more, but Im terrible on the staging and launch process. I dont think 11's are bad for a street car on pump gas. I would like to see it get in the lower 11's and I think it will be pretty easy.

  24. Took the car out to the 1/8 mi. grudge race cruise night (read that as no tech night) and it was same old same old of spinning till half track with a 9.02 at 85 ish mph. Second pass was spinning more with a 9.35 and last pass was almost the whole track with a 9.46 both around 80 mph. When it did hook it felt like I had been rear-ended and pulled very strong out the other end.
I found these photos on a local site
