Just starting on my frame - I'm using these vertical bends from Welder Series instead of just z-ing the tubing. The engine will be a 406 Chevy that my Dad bought brand new in a '72 Caprice. I've been saving it for years. I have a nice tripower setup with 3 carbs from an original 348 all set up and ready to go.

I tipped the body on it's roof to make cutting away all the original body crossmembers easier and it's working out well - next step is to weld in some temporary crossmembers and flip it back. Oh yeh, got the wheels painted and the tires mounted

OOps! looks like my introductry post didn't happen some how - Slimegreeeen has asked me to post pics of my project. I'm really just getting started but here's haow it's going so far. Got the T coupe body in Saskatchewan from an ad on the Canadian Rodder site. It's a real solid body with lots of dings but not too much rust. I blasted it and epoxy primed it and now I'm starting to build the frame.

This is the original T for Two that is my inspiration. Built around 1958 and driven back and forth across the USA and from Canada to Florida many times

Hey Ragtop...do you have a build thread started for that coupe yet. That thing is awesome and I would like to follow along while you build it.

Hey Ragtop, I'm just about finished with the frame for the 27 T coupe I've been working on. I noticed the bends on your frame rails look a lot like the one I'm doing for a friend, I had to make the A frame style over the rear axle.

Great! I like keeping the frame all the way to the outside too. I'm planning on dropping the floor an inch or so to give me a little more room for my big feet. Every Hot Rod I've ever done has had the master cylinder under the floor but I'm using a hanging pedal in this car for the same reason. I'm also planning on moving the engine and trans over to the p***enger side by an inch or so. I'll probably end up with more leg room than I have in my '34 Hiboy. Didn't get much done today except I got my chromed front end from Lucky 7 and I ***embled it. All of you Ontario guys should know about Lost Time Choppers near St. Thomas - great guys and a very good deal on front end parts and incredible metal shaping and ch***is stuff. . They delivered and took my decklid skin back to their shop to punch it full of louvres for me.

I am in need of the measurement between the inner wheel-wells in the trunk area of a 1926-'27 Model T Coupe. Thanks guys and Gals.

A few progress shots of my Mercury Charlie Zee frame. The motors mounts are roughed in and will get more loving later. This is frame #14. It's starting to take some shape.

That's sweet, I'd drop the front of the body on the frame about an inch or so, that way you don't lose that rake look. ;)

Good point and well taken. I'm definitely interested in having a pronounced rake (ala Stoner's T) without having to sit in a downhill position. I've got time to think about the floors as this first phase of my build is going to require a little break while funds build back up a bit. Thanks for the insight. Couldn't agree more.

Here's a shot of my frame alongside one of Charlie's other creations. And you thought his old Tall T was a piece of work.

I guess he didn't get the name "Mercury Charlie" for nothing. Looks like a beautiful ride.
