Features Who's Building a T?

Thanks! I'm pretty sure this is a '26, the firewall has 4 small rivets and 2" webbing (on the inside) for fuel tank anti-squeak purposes, the door latches have 3 screws instead of 4 (27's had 4 screws), and my sill plates are screwed to the rockers.

 

I made some progress on mine, it must be a '27.
The seatback was handformed at somepoint in its' life. It was kinda rough by todays' standards but i didn't want to replace it, i spent some time on it and i think it'll work just right..i feel it belongs on the car.

Just a quick question. Do any of you know where a person could get a replacement belt line moulding for the back of a 26 Tudor sedan? I know the moulding is part of the upper half of the body, but does anyone make a strip that could replce it? I have a friend and his is rotted out at the upper edge of it and someone in the past tried to weld it back to gether with horrible results.

 

I helped restore a 27 and its not reproduced as far as I know. The options we had was either make a new piece or fix what we had.

If you put your location in your profile someone could probably recommend a metal shaper that could do that for your friend

Just found this site and I'm in heaven. Just started a build down here in New Zealand. Bought a part built project that was done by a guy called Mercury Charlie. Not many T's in NZ and it much info, so this is fantastic. Just started putting a motor in it.

our nostalgia altered T

 

Gatherning parts. I currently have a 1927 Tub. I want to make it full fendered. Still looking for a chassis to put it on. I also have a 27 T 2-door sedan.Have most parts to put it together.Just need to get it out of the barn and put some heat on it.

 

Just saw this thread. Here is where I am right now.

 

Man, that's a long wheelbase.

 

That's what I thought. Looks like at least 12" ( maybe more) should be cut out of the front to make it look right.

 

120" wheel base. Yeah, it's long and has a pretty smooth ride being long. I am going to move the radiator back to fill in that wide gap. I think that will help the look of this long T.

 

I think that will just make it look different. I think it will still look funny with the front end stretched way out there in front of the rad.

I don't see anything but a drastic frame shortening and moving the front end back to where it should be to get the scale and proportions more pleasing to the eye.

The ride would still be decent.

We are kinder getting away from this T thread topic a little, but I did ask about this body some time back and was told it was a 1923 Dodge.

Your body looks pretty similar to it.

Anyways, good luck with your project and may I suggest you start your own question and build thread so you will get more specific info.
