Yes i have followed that build.
Not totally bad. He naild the stance and chop.
And he fixed the body and make a roller in about the same
time it took me to make two frame rails.

Looked like he was doing quite a good bit of work in a very small space by himself with what he had. I was expecting a a lot worse after reading the comments.

I don't get the hating. I give the guy a lot of credit. A low dollar guy, by himself, in a small shop using what he has. You know....Hot Rodding.

    Yup!
Some of his stuff can be rough...but I'm a bodyman.
    I'm expected to do better.
He's just learning this reconstruction stuff as he goes and getting stuff done!

He has just done a 57 2 dr conversion for his wife and a BBC 55 Two Lane Blacktop clone for himself..also a 2 dr conversion. They look good!

This whole model T Hot Rod thing is new to him and a bit out of his element, but he's learning fast.

Seems like a nice guy, and he gets stuff done! New videos every week. Unbelievable what he started with....it was yard art and frozen to the ground!

Here is a pic from his first video on the 27 coupe project.....digging out the Christmas decorated, frozen in the ground , yard art body! The 27 coupe videos, are only the tip of the iceberg of his many, many projects.

Dan has some serious building skills. It just looks like he is a hack.

He is sure a “takes the bull by the horn“, builder. Not afraid to tackle just about anything!

My 23T I’ve been building the last coupla years here in Australia. Started getting built in 68’ & never finished. Had Oldsmobile running gear but only diff remained when I got it. I’ve since put a 322 nailhead/Muncie 4spd, Fenton front 15x3.5 wheels with twin pinners, custom made 15x8 chrome reverse rears with hurst Cheater slicks, ladder bars from a gasser pickup that a guy threw in the bin!! Just a bit of fun [emoji106]

Actually his T coupe build is just the tip of the iceberg.....lots of interesting stuff he tackles that are worth the watch. Definitely lowbuck, but he does get lots of stuff done. Nice to get caught up on stuff that is off topic on here!

Does anyone have a step by step frame build with all dimensions etc? I am thinking about building my own frame for a model t coupe but I can't seem to find any actual specs.

Tony, I just centered my body on a 4x8 sheet of plywood and traced the outline, averaging the two sides so they were the same and built a frame to match with a 106" wheelbase. Of course, your plans will vary.

I have a thread on here somewhere on Model T (stock OEM) docs and data. There's also undoubtedly the 1965 and 1968 Car Craft T-bucket plans, and Rod Action T-touring frame plans and probably other information as well, such as original Ford T frame plans.

Thanks everyone. This is the one I found and how I found it. Pretty rust free but needs everything lol. He said it is a 1924 Doctor's coupe.

Are you trying for an original looking full fender car or hot rod fender less?

Fenderless rod. Probably chopped. I have a 331 hemi I was going to put in my Plymouth but I didn't like how it fit.

This thing is amazing, the hemi sounds awesome through open headers. Donuts start at the 11:55 mark.

If that is the case, you don't need the dimensions. Just mock up the stuff and figure it out. Since it is the pre 1926 style, look on Ebay for a 1/8 scale Lindberg Line model kit and roughly scale it up. They did make a coupe version. Scan-200825-0001.jpg

The plans i was linking to was used for some tips on framebuilding.
Then i surfed the net for pictures on model T coupes to see what i like and not.
When i did that the style of the build where not importend.
It was more the overall stance and dimensions i looked at.
The next thing i did was to mock up the body, engine, front and rear axle where i wanted them.
Then i could measure it all up and make a drawing with dimensions for my frame.

That is very nice! I have only gotten to page 26. I love this one I found on the web. I'm not sure if it is the same body. What is the differences between say a 24 and a 27 T?

The early one is straight on the bottom of the windshield, the later one is curved.

There is this one other consideration you need to make if you haven't purchased that coupe yet. The reason why you see many 26,27 as compared to the early ones. WOOD. Scan-200825-0002.jpg

No way I could handle owning that much wood in a hot rod.
I'd have to steel it out which looks to be a life's work with that model T body.
