I haven't fully paid for it yet. I gave him 100 for it so far just to hold it till I have time to pick it up. Giving 1000 total for it. If I got it I'd pull all the wood out and use tubing. You guys would pass this one up then? I think it could look good built.

  2. Love that one - think I've only seen a 3/4 rear shot before.

  3. I helped my friend build this tall '27 eons ago. Channeled over a rectangular tube frame, dropped axle in front, and a coil sprung three bar rear. He had looked at a "fall-a-part" wood framed coupe earlier; but opted for the steel framed '27; wise move, methinks.

I still want to build one but maybe I should keep looking for one with more steel.

  6. My kid just brought one back from ND; it's sold now; but I can see if he is getting any of the other coupes out there.

Just depends how much. I'm kind of a broke SOB. The reason I was going to buy this one was because it was only 1000 dollars and not rotten.

Now this is over a year and a half later but I finally located that issue of Rod Action. January 1992. It was a letter from John McDonald, a former owner. I scanned just the last part of his letter because whenever I try to include everything, I tend to get an ERROR messa Scan-201011-0001.jpg ge.

  25. I always dig the right angle to see the engine through the radiator, never goes over 190 no matter what I'm doing with it.

Here's the T I'm building currently. Anyone have reference pictures for attaching 27 T fenders to the Model A frame? I've heard it has been done a lot in the past but can't seem to find much on the Hamb about it. The A frame seems to fit well under the T body. Currently replacing the front crossmember with a roadster supply one.

Worked on the T a bit more. Got the front crossmember bolted in for now (to final weld later) and cut some more off of the model a frame horns so that I could get the front wheels fitting in the fenders better. The tires are way too big but I think it will help me center the wheels in the fenders? I still need to move around the front fenders to get that bottom piece of the radiator shell to fit better. It looks sweet mocked up and is giving me a lot more motivation. The A frame seems to work really well under the T fenders, I think as long as the A frame is shortened a few inches I can use the stock hood and the A frame gives me more room for the steering etc. Not sure what to do about running board brackets yet, but maybe I can modify or use the model A ones as is. I was set on a small block Chevy but now seeing it mocked up I'm thinking it needs to have a flathead lol. The flatty might give me more room for the stock gas tank I have too. I need to drill out the rest of the stock bolts (two stuck ones) on the rear wheel wells first to get the rear fenders and then running boards mocked up to get the rear crossmember in the center of the rear wheel wells. Von Dago has been helping me with this, and I'm open to suggestions you guys have.
