If I remember it was a HAMBers' son... But what frame is it? What rake? What Motor? What Stretch? and how did you make that wicked tank? I'm in the parts collecting phase on my Project Fonzarelli Bob Job(TM) ... and kinda loathe the chopper look for Triumphs... or any motorcyle for that matter... but this Honda just makes me smile! Can I get some more pics of it? maybe with a rider on it? Also, how is it coming along? What color are you going to paint it? Sam.
I can at least contribute that the motor looks like a Honda 350. I think about 70-72, maybe. They were in their scrambler style bikes, a**** a few others. (actually 68-73, CL350)
RightO Tim- and Sam,Yes My son Josh is working on it. it was started by Roger Wilming-We bought it on Ebay. We put the eng and trans together [from three of each!]all new internals with 100MM overbore /barnet clutch etc.....the fram is a custom sold in the 60's for a 350 twin Honda.....the Tank is [as i was told] an original by Arlen Ness[when he built a tank himself]...I believe the rake is 45 degrees. the thing that make this little chop work in my opinion is the right combination of parts. it sits low and level due to the 34" short Girder front and isa runing a spool laced 21" frt and a 16" Hrdly Rim laced to a 750 larger honda drum -for the [only brake] the Motor has several aftermarket finned accy's from the 60-70's- and the trick thing is the hand made right side pipe that is a mirror image of the left side which is the stock hond " scrambler" pipe!that in itself lends a unique look to the exhaust. I think the flat bars look good- with short dirtbike risers.the rear fender is made from a trailer fender that is angle sliced and narrowed. he is thinking of painting it a tangerine pearl[bright yellow orangeish.......]I think it has potential; and he is interested in it -but has taken a new job/moved- so its on hold for a spell.
